Stevenson Partners Holdings, Inc. ("SPHI" or “Stevenson”) is a New York-based private investment firm. Established in 1984 as a family office, SPHI became a multi-family office in the 1990’s through the consolidation of assets, operations and investment expertise of other like-minded family offices. Since 1998, Stevenson has offered access to its principal investing capabilities to certain non-family limited partners.
Stevenson specializes in management-led buyouts, strategic minority equity investments and recapitalizations of small-to-middle market companies with leading market positions, differentiated products or services and meaningful growth potential. Stevenson also makes selected investments in start-up to expansion stage concerns often in conjunction with funding from other venture capital firms. The firm’s investment in these companies extends well beyond the financing phase and includes strategic guidance, business development and long-term planning focused on the realization of value.
The founders, general partners and officers of Stevenson (collectively “Management”) are involved in the analysis, execution, monitoring and exit of private equity investments. Management has extensive experience in structuring and financing these investments in a host of diverse industries and throughout a range of economic cycles and market conditions. Stevenson has invested, and anticipates continuing to invest in a broad range of companies within a varied set of industries, including business services, healthcare, retail & consumer and natural resources.
Management’s conservative investment philosophy and disciplined investment process has generated significant returns for its investors over the years. Stevenson’s investors are legacy family members, non-family limited partners and public and private institutional investors.
